Bronson Pinchot to Host Broadway Under the Stars Concert

This year’s edition of Broadway Under the Stars, the annual free outdoor concert that showcases the best of Broadway’s songbook and stars, is set for Monday June 14, at 8:30pm in Bryant Park (Sixth Avenue between 40th and 42nd streets).

This year’s concert will be hosted by Bronson Pinchot and will feature a 30-piece orchestra. Robert Longbottom will direct the 75-minute show and Phil Reno will serve as musical director of a program that will include numbers from such musicals as Grease, South Pacific, Finian’s Rainbow, and On A Clear Day. Among the stars scheduled to perform are Linda Eder, Raúl Esparza, Edie Falco, Sutton Foster, John Hill, Kenita Miller, Christy Carlson Romano, Anika Noni Rose, Brian Stokes Mitchell, and Tom Wopat.

The Bryant Park lawn will open for concert seating at 6pm. The third annual Broadway Under the Stars concert is being presented by Time Warner and produced by NYC & Company and the League of American Theatres and Producers. Last year’s event attracted an estimated 15,000 people; this year’s event will be taped and later televised by WCBS-TV 2 New York at 7pm on Saturday, June 19, 2004.
