Inside the starry arrivals and winner’s circle.
The theater community celebrated Off-Broadway on May 5 at the annual Lucille Lortel Awards. The ceremony was hosted by Maura Tierney and Aasiv Mandvi at New York University’s Skirball Center. As previously reported, the Playwrights Horizons production of The Whale, the Second Stage Theatre premiere of Dogfight, and the Signature Theatre revival of The Piano Lesson took top honors.
