The New Group presented a one-night only reading of Tom Eyen's play Women Behind Bars on Monday, May 7 at the Acorn Theater.

Scott Elliott directed the play, which, as previously announced, featured Charles Busch, Halley Feiffer, Janeane Garofalo, Nancy Giles, Josh Hamilton, Natasha Lyonne, Cynthia Nixon, Rosie O'Donnell, Rhea Perlman, Daphne Rubin-Vega, and Jennifer Tilly.

The evening served as a benefit for the theater company.
