The National Theatre of Great Britain is set to present special encore National Theatre Live broadcasts of Frankenstein, Nick Dear's new play based on the book by Mary Shelley, in select cinemas in the U.S. on June 6-7. The production was directed by Danny Boyle.

Benedict Cumberbatch and Jonny Lee Miller alternated the roles of Victor Frankenstein and the Creature. For that reason, Frankenstein was filmed twice to allow cinema audiences to see the actors in each role.
