Austin, Hamlisch, Migenes, et al. Set for Brooklyn Center for the Arts Season

The Brooklyn Center for the Performing Arts has announced its 2008-2009 season.

Notable performers will include Grammy Award winner Patti Austin and the Duke Ellington Orchestra (October 11), Israeli singer Chava Alberstein (November 16), Tony and Oscar winner Marvin Hamlisch (April 25), and Broadway and opera star Julia Migenes (April 26).

Theatrical offerings include L.A. Theatre Works' presentation of War of the Worlds and The Lost World (October 26), Mermaid Theatre of Nova Scotia's The Very Hungry Caterpillar (November 30), the Fred Garbo Inflatable Theatre Company (February 8), The Wizard of Oz (March 8), Montana Repertory Theatre's adaptation of To Kill a Mockingbird (April 19), and Annie (May 17).
