Ayers, Donahue, Marks, McCartney, Rappaport, and Walsh Will Sing Songs For a New World

Heather Ayers, Jack Donahue, Arthur Marks, Liz McCartney, David Rappaport, and Barbara Walsh will appear in Jason Robert Brown’s Songs for a New World, to be presented by ABCD Productions at the George Street Playhouse in New Brunswick, New Jersey from June 24 through July 9.

Ayers has appeared Off-Broadway in Five Course Love and Sarah, Plan and Tall. Donahue is a popular cabaret/supper club singer whose theater credits include The Transport Group production of The Audience and Floyd Collins at the Prince Music Theater in Philadelphia. Marks was recently seen Off-Broadway in Sidd. McCartney was highly praised for her performance as Big Sue in Taboo, and she subsequently appeared on Broadway in Mamma Mia!. Rappaport, who is also the producer of Songs for a New World, has performed in shows at the Medicine Show Theatre, Makor, and 12 Miles West ; his television credits include the title role in The Biography of Pontius Pilate. Walsh has starred on Broadway in Falsettos, Big, and Hairspray, and she played Joanne in John Doyle’s Cincinnati Playhouse in the Park production of Stephen Sondheim’s Company, which will move to New York later this season.

Songs for a New World will be directed by Jack Cummings III, a 2006 Drama Desk Award nominee for The Audience. John DePinto will serve as musical director.
