Directed by Leonard Foglia and musical staging by Andy Blankenbuehler, the show focuses on Bubbie, a theater star in pre-war Poland and now a grandmother in New York City who is determined to pass on her stories to the next generation.

With book and lyrics by Iris Rainer Dart, music by Mike Stoller and Artie Butler, the production stars two-time Tony Award winner Donna Murphy, playing Raisel/Bubbie, as well as Alexander Gemignani (Moishe), Christopher Innvar (Chaim), Nicole Parker (Red), Rachel Resheff (Jenny), Hal Robinson (Doovie, Rabbi Velvel), Lewis J. Stadlen (Avram Krinsky), Joyce Van Patten (Chyesel) and Chip Zien (Yoshie Pinsker).
