GPR Records celebrated the release of its first CD, Poetic License, at the Bowery Poetry Club on Sunday, April 4.

The disc features over 100 poems read by 100 performers. The poems, selected by the performer, range from Shakespeare's sonnets to works by Margaret Atwood, W.H. Auden, William Blake, Samuel Taylor Coleridge, Rudyard Kipling, Tony Kushner, John Milton, William Wordsworth, and Walt Whitman.

Featured artists who were on hand for the CD Release Party included Charles Busch, Paige Davis, Penny Fuller, Edward Hibbert, Cady Huffman, and Patrick Page.
