Bartlett Sher and Michael Yeargan, the director and set designer of the current Broadway revival of Clifford Odets’s Awake and Sing!, will speak as part of Lincoln Center Theater’s Platform series at 6:30pm on Thursday, April 20 at the Vivian Beaumont Theater (150 West 65th Street).

The production, which will open officially on April 17 at the Belasco Theater, stars Lauren Ambrose, Ben Gazzara, Jonathan Hadary, Mark Ruffalo, and Zoe Wanamaker. Awake and Sing! concerns a Jewish family from the Bronx that takes in a boarder during the Depression.

Sher and Yeargan previously collaborated on the Lincoln Center Theater production of The Light in the Piazza, which is still running; Yeargan won Tony and Drama Desk awards for his work on that show, while Sher was nominated for both honors.

Admission to the April 20 event is free and open to the public. Seating is available on a first-come, first-served basis. Call 212-362-7600 on the day of the event to confirm.
