VIDEO FLASH: Lily Rabe To Be Honored As Part of USA’s Character Approved Awards Special

USA Network has released a promotional video featuring Lily Rabe, who will all be featured on the special Character Approved: Honoring 12 Cultural Trailblazers, set to air on the network on March 8 at 10pm (ET).

Rabe is one of 12 individuals being honored by the network this year. The Awards pay tribute to the visionaries and real “characters” from a cross-section of creative disciplines who are changing the face of American culture. In the video, Rabe discusses her approach to acting and finding a character.


Rabe was most recently seen on Broadway playing Portia in The Merchant of Venice. Her other Broadway credits include The American Plan, Steel Magnolias, and Heartbreak House.

The other Character Approved honorees are: Walter Hood for architecture, Vik Muniz for art, Emily Pilloton for design, Prabal Gurung for fashion, Davis Guggenheim for film, Grant Achatz for food, Janelle Monáe for music, Blake Mycoskie for social good, Naveen Selvadurai and Dennis Crowley for technology, and Nicole Krauss for writing.
