Dave Matthews, David Rockwell Set for Blue Man Group Reunion to Benefit Blue School

Architect and Tony-nominated set designer David Rockwell will host the Blue Man Group 20th Anniversary Reunion Show, to benefit The Blue School, an alternative pre-K and elementary school which was founded by members of the Blue Man Group in 2006. The event will be held at the Astor Place Theatre on Wednesday, April 13 at 6:30pm.

The benefit performance will reunite Blue Man Group founders Matt Goldman, Phil Stanton, and Chris Wink. It will also feature a special guest performance by Dave Matthews.

According to a recent New York Times article, Rockwell’s firm, The Rockwell Group, is designing a permanent home for the school, to be located in the former Seamen’s Church Institute building at 241 Water Street. It is expected to open shortly after Labor Day.
