Atlantic Theater Company to Premiere Stephen Belber’s Dusk Rings a Bell

The Atlantic Theater Company will present the world premiere of Stephen Belber’s play Dusk Rings a Bell at its Atlantic Stage 2 space, May 19-June 20, with an opening on May 27. Sam Gold will direct. Cast and creative team will be announced at a later date.

In the play, Molly and Ray unexpectedly meet 25 years after a one-afternoon adolescent fling. Their encounter reveals two vastly different paths taken and two lonely souls attempting to reclaim a moment of possibility, when they were young and perhaps at their very best.

Belber’s plays also include Match, Tape, McReele, Geometry of Fire, and Fault Lines. He was also an Associate Writer on The Laramie Project, and co-writer on the more recent Laramie Project Epilogue.
