Pacino, Anderson, Chastain Set for Salome in L.A.

Al Pacino, Kevin Anderson, and Jessica Chastain will star in Oscar Wilde’s Salome at the Wadsworth Theatre in Los Angeles, April 14-May 14. Directed by Estelle Parsons, the show will open officially on April 27.

The production was previously seen on Broadway in 2003 with Pacino playing King Herod, as he will at the Wadsworth. The actor is a two-time Tony Award winner for Does a Tiger Wear a Necktie? and The Basic Training of Pavlo Hummel, and the recipient of an Academy Award for his performance in Scent of a Woman.

Anderson, who will play John the Baptist, has starred on Broadway in Brooklyn the Musical, Orpheus Descending, and Death of a Salesman, for which he received a Tony Award nomination. Chastain, who will play Salome, was last seen Off-Broadway in Rodney’s Wife.
