Broadway star Josh Gad will launch a new online comedy series, entitled Gigi: Almost American. It will be the first original digital series from BBC Worldwide Productions, and is set to debut on My Damn Channel in the spring.

The 10-episode series is created by and stars Gad, in collaboration with the comedy troupe, The Lost Nomads. Along with Gad, the Nomads feature Tyler Clancy, Ida Darvish, Kevin Larsen, and Tyler Moore.

The show revolves around Gigi, a loveable foreigner new to the U.S. with dreams of becoming an "average American." The series will blend physical comedy, irreverent humor and absurd situations.

Gad will star as Elder Cunningham in the forthcoming Broadway musical The Book of Mormon, and has previously appeared on Broadway in The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee. Film and television credits include Back to You, Woke Up Dead, and Love and Other Drugs.
