Paint Your Wagon‘s Olga San Juan Dies at 81

Actress Olga San Juan, who played Jennifer Rumson in the 1951 Broadway production of the Alan Jay Lerner-Frederick Loewe musical Paint Your Wagon, died on January 4 in Los Angeles after a long illness. She was 81.

San Juan, who was raised in New York City, was best known for her brief career in Hollywood musicals, including Variety Girl, Blue Skies, One Touch of Venus, and The Countess of Monte Cristo. She essentially retired from performing after Paint Your Wagon.

She is survived by her children, Bridget, Maria, and Brenda, from her marriage to actor Edmond O’Brien, as well as her sister Aura Grady.
