Tartaglia’s Johnny and the Sprites to Perform at Mayo Center October 19

Tony nominee John Tartaglia will perform as part of The Community Theatre at Mayo Center for the Performing Arts’ Sunday Kids Clubs series on Sunday, October 19, at 1:30 pm and 4:30 pm.

The program will feature Playhouse Disney favorite Johnny and the Sprites, starring Tartaglia and his cast of puppets — Basil, Ginger, Lily and Root — who will perform songs and stories. Also on the bill are Choo Choo Soul star Genevieve Goings and Magic Al.

Tartaglia received a 2004 Tony Award nomination for his performance as Princeton and Rod in Avenue Q, and later starred in the show’s Las Vegas production. Later this season, he will play the role of Pinocchio in the Broadway musical, Shrek.
