Edward Hibbert to Join Tyne Daly, Harriet Harris in It Shoulda Been You

Broadway veteran Edward Hibbert will join the previously reported Tony Award winners Harriet Harris and Tyne Daly in the world premiere new musical It Shoulda Been You at the George Street Playhouse, October 4-November 6, with an opening on October 14. Tony and Emmy Award-Winning actor David Hyde Pierce will make his directorial debut with this production.

Featuring a book and lyrics by Brian Hargrove and music by Barbara Anselmi, the musical is about an interfaith wedding that spins out of control. Daly will play the mother of the bride, while Harris will play the mother of the groom. Hibbert will play Albert, the wedding planner.

Hibbert's Broadway credits include Curtains, The Drowsy Chaperone, Noises Off, The Green Bird, Me and My Girl, and Alice in Wonderland. Among his Off-Broadway credits is his OBIE-winning performance in Jeffrey. Film and television credits include Taking Woodstock, Frasier and Once Upon a Mattress.

Daly is currently starring in the Broadway revival of Master Class, and won a Tony for the 1989 revival of Gypsy. Harris won a Tony for Thoroughly Modern Millie, and is well known for her work in television's Desperate Housewives. Pierce won a Tony for his performance in Curtains, and is best known for his work on television's Frasier.
