Jungle Theater has announced the productions planned for its 2013 season, beginning February 1 with the regional premiere of David Ives' Venus in Fur. Venus in Fur (February 1-March 10), a witty exploration of sexual control and desire, will be directed by Joel Sass and star Anna Sundberg and Peter Christian Hansen.
The season will also include Deathtrap (March 29-May 19), Ira Levins' comic mystery, starring Steve Hendrickson as Sidney Bruhl, Cheryl Willis as Myra, and Michael Booth as Clifford. Bain Boehlke will direct. Next, John Command will direct Bradley Greenwald in the satirical musical Urinetown (June 7-August 4).
For the fall, the Jungle will present Sam Shepard's Fool for Love (September 6-October 20), directed by Bain Boehlke, a tale of ill-fated love, featuring Terry Hempleman (Eddie), Jennifer Blagen (May), Allen Hamilton (Old Man), and Jason Peterson (Martin). Bringing the season to a close will be a Bain Boehlke directed production of Alfred Uhry's Driving Miss Daisy (November 8-December 22). Wendy Lehr will lead the cast as Daisy Werthen.
