Michael Gruber, Christina Saffran Ashford, Tony Vierling, Austene Van and More Set for Ordway’s Singin’ in the Rain

The Ordway Center has announced the complete cast and creative team for their upcoming production of Singin’ in the Rain, to be presented June 16-28. James A. Rocco will direct and choreograph.

This Betty Comden-Adolph Green musical is a humorous look at the “birth of the talkies,” when the silent era of motion pictures came to an end, and movies began to talk, sing, and dance. The cast will feature Michael Gruber (Don Lockwood), Christina Saffran Ashford (Kathy Selden), Tony Vierling (Cosmo), Austene Van (Lina Lamont), Michael Brindisi (Roscoe Dexter), Stewart Gregory (Rod/Mr. Rabb/Production Tenor), Claudia Wilkens (Dora Bailey & Phoebe Dinsmore), Richard Ooms (R.F. Simpson), Amanda Paulson (Zelda Zanders), and Zhauna Franks (Olga/Girl in the Green Dress & Ensemble).

The creative team will include Pamila Gray (lighting design), David Patridge (sound design), Gregory A. Poplyk (costume design), and Jeff Rizzo (music director).
