Tony Award winner Leslie Uggams and Broadway and television star Ron Raines will play Desiree Armfeldt and Frederik Egerman in the Michigan Opera Theatre's production of Stephen Sondheim and Hugh Wheeler's A Little Night Music, to run November 14-21. No other casting has been announced.

In addition, the theatre will present a production of Mozart's Don Giovanni, April 10-18, 2010, with Tony winner Paolo Szot alternating in the title role with Robert Gierfach, Amanda Squitieri as Zerina, and Jacquelyn Walker and Ruth Ann Swenson alternating as Donna Anna.

The company's 2009-2010 season will also include productions of Verdi's Nabucco (October 17, 21, and 24) and Puccini's Tosca (May 8-16).
