South Miami-Dade Cultural Arts Center is to present the Langston Hughes Project, Ask Your Mama, Twelve Moods for Jazz, February 23 at 8pm.

The piece is an original work conceived by USC Professor and Chair of Jazz Studies Dr. Ron McCurdy. The Ron McCurdy Quartet will be accompanied in their performance of Langston Hughes' Ask Your Mama by celebrity spoken word artist Malcolm Jamal-Warner.

The evening will also include the 8th Annual Black History Month Celebration, hosted by delancyhill law firm. The celebration will include a VIP reception honoring Miami-Dade County Commissioner Dennis C. Moss at 6pm.
