in Nine | The movie version of the Tony-Award winning musical Nine, originally scheduled to premiere in November, will now open on December 18 in New York and Los Angeles followed by a wider release on Christmas Day, according to a report on EW.com.
The musical, based on Federico Fellini's 8 ½ focuses on Guido Contini, a movie director, to be played by Oscar winner Daniel Day Lewis, and the myriad women in his life. The movie also stars Penelope Cruz as Carla, Nicole Kidman as Claudia, Judi Dench as Liliane LeFleur, and Stacy Ferguson (aka Fergie) as Saraghina.
