Valarie Pettiford to Perform One-Night Benefit Concert for L.A. Gay & Lesbian Center

The L.A. Gay & Lesbian Center’s Lily Tomlin/Jane Wagner Cultural Arts Center is set to present Broadway’s Valarie Pettiford in a one-night benefit concert, September 16 at 8 pm in the Renberg Theatre. David Galligan will direct, with musical direction by Ron Abel.

The event will feature storytelling, dancing, and singing, including at least one song from Pettiford’s new solo album Velvet Sky, a collection of original lullabies.

Pettiford received a Tony nomination for Fosse and is also known for her television work, which includes House of Payne, Criminal Minds, and Half and Half.

The concert will benefit the L.A. Gay & Lesbian Center.
