George Wendt, Kristine Zbornick Set for Rubicon’s World Premiere of Hello! My Baby

Rubicon Theatre Company is set to present the world premiere of Cheri Steinkellner’s Hello! My Baby, March 21-April 15. Brian McDonald will direct, with musical direction by Lloyd Cooper.

Set in the early part of the last century on the sidewalks of New York, Hello! My Baby follows Mickey McKee, King of the Song-Pluggers, who dreams of writing the next Tin Pan Alley million-selling hit song.

Ciaran McCarthy stars as Mickey, with Evie Hutton co-starring as young Jewish faactory worker Nellie Gold. Supporting cast members including George Wendt and Kristine Zbornick as song publishers Bert and Ethel Coots.

The cast will also feature Lilli Babb, George Ball, Jordan Kai Burnett, Harley Jay, Will Sevedge, McKenna Kylie Tedrick, Rich Hoag, Zach Johnson, Ixchel Lopez, Jeremy Lucas, Jacob Mattison, Tad Murroughs, Allison Paraiso, Teya Patt, Erick Paul, Neil Starkenberg, Lauryn Tillery, and Carly Wielstein.

The creative team will include Lee Martino (choreography), Craig Safan (arrangements and orchestration), Thomas S. Giamario (set design), Jeremy Pivnick (lighting design), Marcy Froehlich (costume design), Jonathan Burke (sound designer), and T. Theresa Scarano (prop design).
