Keira Knightley, Charlie Rowe, Rhys Ifans, et al. Set for Syfy’s Neverland Miniseries

Keira Knightley will voice the role of Tinkerbell in Syfy’s four-hour miniseries Neverland. Nick Willing has written and will direct the projec, which is scheduled to air in December. Knightley is due to record her role this summer.

The miniseries is a prequel to J.M. Barrie’s Peter Pan, and imagines that Peter (to be played by Charlie Rowe), along with his band of young pickpocket friends, is corralled by his mentor Jimmy Hook (Rhys Ifans) to snatch a magical orb that transports people to another world – Neverland. The series will also feature Anna Friel, Bob Hoskins, Charles Dance, and Raoul Trujillo.

Knightley is currently starring in the West End in The Children’s Hour, with other stage credits including The Misanthrope. Her film credits include the Pirates of the Caribbean, Never Let Me Go, Bend It Like Beckham, Love Actually, Pride and Prejudice, Atonement, The Duchess, Last Night, and the forthcoming A Dangerous Method.
