Stage veterans Chris Carmack, Mo Gaffney, and Nancy Travis have all been signed to upcoming pilots, according to reports on Deadline.com.

Carmack, who played the title role in Roundabout Theater Company’s revival of Joe Orton’s Entertaining Mr. Sloane, has been cast in ABC’s Grace, a drama that focuses on a famous choreographer who’s also a womanizer. The series will star Eric Roberts in the lead role and Robert Hoffman as a member of the dance company.

Gaffney, who with Kathy Najimy created The Kathy and Mo Show, has been added to the cast of an ABC comedy, My Freakin’ Family, which looks at what happens when a young couple, newly parents, finds their own parents, who come from very different backgrounds, descending on them. Gaffney is slated to play the young wife’s mother. The series will star Ellen Woglom and Ravi Patel.

Travis, recently seen in Love Loss and What I Wore as the Geffen Playhouse, has joined CW’s drama pilot Hart of Dixie. The show focuses on a young doctor (Rachel Bilson) from New York City who inherits a medical practice in the South. Travis will play a no-nonsense nurse on the series.
