Jackie Hoffman will bring her solo show,Jackie Five-OH!, to The Renberg Theatre, January 13-22. This West Coast premiere will benefit the L.A. Gay & Lesbian Center.

In the piece, written by Hoffman and her director, Michael Schiralli, the kvetcher-in-chief muses about her own decay as she reaches the landmark of her 50th year. Hoffman skewers sacred cows such as the Tony Awards and Holocaust movies, flings acid-dipped barbs at the Broadway hierarchy, and does painfully accurate imitations of a gallery of showbiz icons, including Bernadette Peters and Mary Tyler Moore. The show has musical direction by Bobby Peaco.

Hoffman currently stars as Grandma in The Addams Family. Her other Broadway credits include Xanadu and Hairspray. Off-Broadway she has been seen in Regrets Only, Pride & Joy, Straightjacket, Incident at Cobbler's Knob, and One Woman Shoe, as well as The Book of Liz, for which she won an Obie Award. Among her film and television credits are Extra Man, Garden State, Kissing Jessica Stein, 30 Rock, One Life to Live, and Curb Your Enthusiasm. Her solo shows have garnered her MAC and Bistro Awards.

As previously reported, Hoffman will offer three performances of her latest collaboration with Schiralli, A Chanukah Charol, at New World Stages, December 11, December 18 and January 2.
