Melvin Abston, Jason Graae, Laura Griffith, Lana McKissack, Shanon Mari Mills, Brett Ryback, Cassie Silva, Daniel Tatar, and Tom Zohar will star in La Mirada Theatre for the Performing Arts and McCoy Rigby Entertainment's production of The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee, February 5-21. Jeff Maynard will direct, with musical direction by David O.

The musical, conceived by Rebecca Feldman, features a Tony Award-winning book by Rachel Sheinkin with music and lyrics by William Finn and additional material by Jay Reiss. In the show, six young people in the throes of puberty, overseen by grown-ups who barely managed to escape childhood themselves, learn that winning isn't everything and that losing doesn't necessarily make you a loser.

The creative team will include DJ Gray (choreography), Beowulf Boritt (set), Craig Pierce (lighting), Jennifer Caprio (costumes), and Josh Bessom (sound).
