I Love Lucy Live on Stage Extends Through February 26

I Love Lucy Live on Stage, at the Greenway Court Theatre in Los Angeles, has extended its run for an additional seven weeks, and will now close on February 26, 2012.

This musical comedy tribute to the most popular and longest-running television show in history takes the audience back to the 1950s and the Desilu Studios to watch the “filming” of two episodes of the iconic and beloved sitcom, I Love Lucy.

Adapted for the stage and including new material by Kim Flagg and Rick Sparks, the production is directed by Sparks with musical direction by Wayne Moore. The cast stars Sirena Irwin as Lucy Ricardo; Bill Mendieta as Ricky Ricardo, Bill Chott as Fred Mertz, and Lisa Joffrey as Ethel Mertz. Also featured are Tom Christensen, Steven Connor, Gregory Franklin, Kerri-Anne Lavin, Ed Martin, Denise Moses, Cindy Sciacca, Amy Tolsky, Gina Torrecilla and Mark Christopher Tracy.

The production features set design by Aaron Henderson, lighting design by Jeremy Pivnick, sound design is by Cricket S. Myers, and costume design by Shon LeBlanc.
