Alec Mapa to Perform Baby Daddy at Renberg Theatre

Alec Mapa will perform his latest stand-up comedy show, Baby Daddy, at Renberg Theatre, October 21-23 as a benefit for the L.A. Gay & Lesbian Center.

The piece chronicles Mapa’s latest adventures as he marches into the unchartered territory of gay fatherhood as he and his husband, producer Jamison Hebert, recently adopted a five-year-old boy.

Mapa starred on Broadway in M. Butterfly and additional New York theater credits include Dogeaters and A Language of Their Own. His solo show, I Remember Mapa won the LA Weekly Award for Best Solo Performance and has toured nationally.

He is also known for his television work, which includes recurring roles on ABC’s Ugly Betty and Desperate Housewives, as well as serving as host for LOGO’s groundbreaking transgender dating show TransAmerican Love Story. In addition, his stand-up comedy specials, Wisecrack and No Fats, Femmes, or Asians, continue to air on Logo.
