Lisa Bonet, Cloris Leachman, Joe Mantegna, Jean Smart Set for Staged Reading of Recipe

Additional casting has been announced for the previously reported staged reading of Michael Gene Sullivan’s new play Recipe, to be presented at
Will Geer Theatricum Botanicum on August 26 at 6:30pm.

Recipe tells the story of a group of middle-aged ex-hippies who turn to baking, but it just isn’t enough to satisfy the burning desire to shake up the establishment.

The cast will feature Lisa Bonet, Cloris Leachman, Amy Madigan, Wendie Malick, and Jean Smart, with narration by Joe Mantegna.

This special benefit performance will be preceded by a dessert reception in Theatricum’s gardens, catered by some of Los Angeles’ top bakery and pastry chefs. All proceeds benefit the theater’s performance, new play development, and education programs.
