Revised casting has been announced for the film adaptation of Adam Rapp’s Red Light Winter. Variety is reporting that Ben Foster will replace the previously reported Mark Ruffalo in the picture. Billy Crudup, who was to co-star, has also dropped out of the film although his replacement has not yet been announced.

Rapp’s Pulitzer-nominated play focuses on former college buddies who visit Amsterdam and find themselves thrown into a bizarre love triangle with a beautiful young prostitute.

Kirsten Dunst remains attached as a co-star, and stage veteran Katherine Waterston has been added to the film cast.

Foster’s credits include the TV movie version of The Laramie Project, a recurring role on HBO’s Six Feet Under, and the films Contraband and 3:10 to Yuma.
