Darren Criss, Lea Michele, Jenna Ushkowitz to Sing on Glee Premiere

Two of the songs that will be performed on the fourth season premiere of FOX’s Glee on September 13 have been announced, according to published reports.

Broadway veteran Lea Michele, who plays Rachel Berry, and newcomer Melissa Benoist, who plays McKinley High student Marley, will both perform Billy Joel’s iconic ballad “New York State of Mind.”


In addition Broadway veterans Darren Criss (Blaine) and Jenna Ushkowitz (Tina) will share lead vocals on Carly Rae Jepsen’s “Call Me Maybe.”


As previously reported, the cast of Glee will feature theater veterans Matthew Morrison, Jane Lynch, Chris Colfer, Whoopi Goldberg, and Sarah Jessica Parker this season.
