International City Theatre in Long Beach, California has announced the selections for its 2010 season.
The season will begin with the Los Angeles premiere of Backwards in High Heels: The Ginger Musical, a musical biography of Ginger Rogers, by Lynnette Barkley and Christopher McGovern (February 23-March 28).
It will be followed by Alan Ayckbourn’s comedy How The Other Half Loves (April 27-May 23), Barbara Lebow’s drama A Shayna Maidel, about a Polish immigrant living in New York who is reunited with her sister who remained in Poland and lived through the Holocaust (June 8-July 11); Sarah Ruhl’s award-winning play The Clean House (August 24-September 19), and the world premiere of When Garbo Talks!, a musical by Buddy Kaye and Mort Garson about the events leading to the discovery and rise to stardom of Greta Garbo (October 12-November 14).
