Grammy Award Winner Sergio Mendes Set for March Appearances at L.A.’s Geffen Playhouse

Grammy Award winner Sergio Mendes will offer four performances of Sergio Mendes – Celebration: A Musical Journey at the Geffen Playhouse, March 10-13.
The concerts, which will feature the artist’s signature mix of bossa nova / samba along with percussion accents and his distinctive pop instrumentation, takes its name from his soon-to-be-released album, Celebration: A Musical Journey.
The album covers five decades of Mendes’ career from his early hits to songs form his most recent Grammy nominated album and his music from the forthcoming animated movie Rio. Mendes’ numerous hits include “The Look of Love,” “Mas Que Nada” and “Brasil 66.”
