Boston Court Announces Casting for Luis Alfaro’s Oedipus El Rey

Casting has been announced for Luis Alfaro’s Oedipus El Rey to run February 18 – March 28 at Boston Court Performing Arts Center in Pasadena. Jon Lawrence Rivera will direct the production.

Alfaro’s reimagining of Sophocles’ Oedipus Rex resets the tragedy in the barrio of East LA. The company features Justin Huen in the title role, along with Marlene Forte, Daniel Chacon, Leandro Cano, Winston J. Rocha, Carlos Acuna, and Michael Uribes.

The creative team includes John Binkley (scenic design), Rob Oriol (original music and sound design), Dori Quan (costume design), and Jeremy Pivnick (lighting design).
