Cheek by Jowl will present a revival of John Ford’s ‘Tis Pity She’s a Whore, to tour several international destinations, according to a report on WhatsOnStage.com. The production will open in Paris in November, followed by an engagement at the Sydney Festival, a UK tour in 2012, and a gig in New York.
This 17th-century Jacobean tragedy concerns a forbidden love, a meddling nurse, a complicit friar, and a tragic and bloody ending.
