Caroline O’Connor to Offer The Showgirl Within at the Garrick Theatre in September

Caroline O’Connor will bring her new show Caroline O’Connor: The Showgirl Within to the West End’s Garrick Theatre, for a limited run September 27 – October 3. Michael Gracey will direct the piece, which will feature musical direction by Daniel Edmonds and choreography by Ashely Wallen.

The production will feature numbers from O’Connor’s career on stage and screen. In the piece, she will be joined by an ensemble of dancers and an onstage band.

O’Connor received an Olivier nomination for Best Actress in a Musical for Mack & Mabel and the Olivier Award for Best Actress in a Play for Bombshells. Among her other stage credits are Chicago, in which she has played both Roxie Hart and Velma Kelly, End of the Rainbow, On the Town, and West Side Story. Among her screen appearances is Moulin Rouge, in which she played Nini.

The creative team will include lighting designer Mike Robertson and sound designer James Tebb.
