Fela!, Frankenstein, Hamlet and More Part of NT Live‘s Second Season

NT Live has announced the productions that will be screened as part of its second season.

In addition to the previously reported live broadcast of Fela!, which will be offered on January 13, NT Live will offer international broadcasts of Simon McBurney’s A Disappearing Number (October 14); Nicholas Hytner’s production of Hamlet (December 9), starring Rory Kinnear, David Calder, Clare Higgins, Patrick Malahide, and Ruth Negga; and Danny Boyle’s Frankenstein (March 17). The series will also include Howard Davies’ staging of Chekhov’s The Cherry Orchard, which will be distributed during the spring on a date to be announced shortly.

NT Live performances are filmed live at the National Theatre in high definition and broadcast via satellite to 300 cinemas around the world, with over 75 in the UK and venues in the USA, Canada, Australia, South Africa, Scandinavia, and Europe.
