John Simm, Ian Hart, Kerry Fox, and Lucy Cohu will star in the West End premiere of Andrew Bovell's Speaking in Tongues, which will begin performances on September 18 at the Duke of York's Theatre. The production will be directed by Toby Frow.

The play, which has been seen in Australia and the United States and was the basis for the film Lantana, examines nine parallel lives, which are interwoven through a fragmented series of confessionals and interrogations. Bovell's most recent play, When The Rain Stops Falling, played at the Almeida.

Simm's stage credits include Goldhawk Road and Elling and he is best known for the television series Life on Mars. Hart appeared in a recent revival of The Homecoming and his many film credits include Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone, Wonderland and A Cock and Bull Story. Fox's stage credits include Cruel and Tender, In Flame, I Am Yours, and The Maids and her films include Shallow Grave and Welcome to Sarajevo. Cohu's film and television credits include Torchwood, Forgiven, The Queen's Sister, Gosford Park and Becoming Jane.
