Annis, Atkins, Fiennes, Hart, Manville, et al. to Return to UK Stages This Summer

Casting for a number of upcoming UK productions have been announced.

Joseph Fiennes, Ian Hart, and Phyllis Logan will star in Anthony Weigh's 2000 Feet Away, to run June 11-July 12 at the Bush Theatre. The show, to be directed by Josie Rourke, concerns an Iowa community where the deputy sheriff has to enforce a new law about sex offenders.

Eileen Atkins and Anna Maxwell-Martin will star in Roger Mitchell's production of Joanna Murray-Smith's The Female of the Species, beginning performances July 10 at the Vaudeville, about a feminist author held captive by a fan.

Francesca Annis, Lisa Dillon, Chris O'Dowd, Dominic Rowan, and Catherine Tate wills tar in David Eldridge's Under the Blue Sky, July 15-September 20 at the Duke of York's. The show, to be directed by Anna Mackmin, is a trio of interconnected love stories.

Finally, Lesley Manville will play Lady Celia Cain, an upper-class woman who begins an erotic relationship with a seamstress in prison, in Howard Davies' production of Rebecca Lenkiewcz's Her Naked Skin, to begin performances on July 24 at the National's Olivier Theatre.
