Olympic Gold Medalist Robin Cousins to Join West End Chicago in July

Robin Cousins will play Billy Flynn in the West End production of Chicago, playing at the Garrick Theatre, for a limited engagement, running July 17 – September 8.

Cousins’ stage credits include Cats, The Rocky Horror Show, and Grease In addition, he has served as a head judge for ITV’s Dancing on Ice. He is perhaps best known as a an Olympic Gold Medalist skater.

Chicago currently features David Bedella who will continue in the role of Billy Flynn through May 12, along with Sarah Soetaert as Roxie Hart, Rachel McDowall as Velma Kelly, James Doherty as Amos Hart, Jasna Ivir as Mama Morton and R. Whitehead as Mary Sunshine.

The musical is based on the play by Maurine Dallas Watkins. It features a book by Fred Ebb and Bob Fosse, with music by John Kander and lyrics by Ebb. The production is directed by Walter Bobbie, and choreographed by Ann Reinking in the style of Bob Fosse.
