Julie Atherton, Michael Xavier featured on Lift – A New Musical CD

Julie Atherton, Paul Ayres, Louise Dearman, Jack Shalloo, Jennifer Tierney, and Michael Xavier will be featured on the concept recording of Lift – A New Musical. The album will be available for purchase on May 31.

Written by Craig Adams, with Ian Watson, the show centers on eight people who get in an elevator at Covent Garden tube station on an ordinary morning, exploring their thoughts as they ride.

Adams’ other works include the musical Defect with a book by Clare Prention, and songs for the revues Beyond the Gate and A Song Cycle for Soho.
