Mark Evans to Star in Jermyn Street Theatre’s Jet Set Go!

Mark Evans, a finalist in BBC One’s Your Country Needs You, will star in the new musical Jet Set Go!, to play the Jermyn Street Theatre, March 31- April 18. Luke Sheppard will direct and choreograph.

The musical is a tongue-in-cheek look at the lives of those working in the skies. It has book and lyrics by Jake Brunger, with music and lyrics by Pippa Cleary.

The cast will also include John McManus (Ryan), Laura Scott (Nicola), Danielle Corlass ( Mel), Emily Sidonie (Julia), Amy Coombes (Hayley), Philip Riley (Jim), and Tim Driesen (Paul).

Evans, who will play Richard, was chosen by Lord Andrew Lloyd Webber as one of the final six acts competing to represent the UK at the Eurovision Song Contest 2009. He starred as Troy Bolton in High School Musical – Live on Stage at the Hammersmith Apollo, with other credits including Wicked and Monty Python’s Spamalot.
