Elaine Paige’s Live in Australia DVD To Be Released January 2010

British stage star Elaine Paige, who recently wrapped up a tour of Australia and New Zealand as part of her 40th Anniversary Tour, will release Live in Australia, a DVD of one of her performances from her international celebration in January, according to a post on the actress’ website.

The DVD preserves a performance that she gave at the State Theatre in Sydney and marks the first time Paige has been filmed in concert since 1991. In the concert, she performs numbers from her repertoire of hits from the West End and Broadway.

Some of the songs, including “I Know Him So Well” and “Easy To Be Hard,” on the DVD are ones that are heard on Paige’s Live CD which was reviewed on TheaterMania in October (click here to read the piece) and others, such as “Hello Young Lovers” and “If You Love Me” are previously unreleased interpretations.
