Sian Phillips, Leanne Rowe, et al. Set for U.K. Tour of Lovesong

Edward Bennett, Sam Cox, Siân Phillips, and Leanne Rowe will star in Abi Morgan’s Lovesong, which will launch a U.K. tour with an engagement to run September 30-October 15 at the Drum Theatre in Plymouth, according to a report on Whatsonstage.com. Scott Graham and Steve Hoggett will co-direct the production.

Other tour stops include Warwick Arts Centre (October 18-22), West Yorkshire Playhouse (November 9-12), Chichester Festival Theatre (November 15-26), and, finally, London’s Lyric Hammersmith (January 11-28).

The play examines a couple at two stages in their lives – in their 20s along and late in life.

Bennett’s stage credits include Hamlet, Plenty, Hay Fever, and Othello, among others.Cox’s recent theater credits include Arcadia in the West End, along with Anne Boleyn and All’s Well That Ends Well. Phillips’ recent stage work includes Les Liaisons Dangereuses on Broadway and Calendar Girls in the West End and on tour, along with Bitter Sweet and Juliet and her Romeo. Rowe appeared in Dirty Dancing in the West End and in Talent at the Menier Chocolate Factory.
