Additional casting has been announced for Christopher Renshaw’s site-specific revival of the musical Taboo, according to WhatsonStage.com. The production will run at the new London venue Brixton Club House from September 6-December 23.

The cast will be led by the previously announced original cast member Paul Baker (Philip Sallon), as well as Sam Buttery (Leigh Bowery), Matthew Rowland (Boy George), Alistair Brammer (Billy), Sarah Ingram (Josie), Michael Matus (Derek/Patel), Niamh Perry (Kim), Adam Bailey (Marilyn), Owain Williams (Steve Strange), Katie Kerr (Sue Tilley), and Daniella Bowen (Janey), with Zeph Gould, Alex Hammond, and Jennifer Hepburn.

The musical — which premiered in London in 2002 and moved to Broadway in a revised edition in 2003 — explores the experiences of performance artist and designer Leigh Bowery and George O’Dowd, the young man who will become the musician Boy George, as they arrive on the 1980s London club scene. The score features original songs by Boy George and snippets of hits by Culture Club, with a book by Mark Davies Markham.

The creative team will feature Frank Thompson (choreography), Kevan Frost (music), Mike Nicholls (co-costume design), Christine Bateman (hair and make-up design), Howard Hudson (lighting design), and Tim Goodchild (scenic design).
