The Old Vic Theatre’s revival of Neil Simon’s The Prisoner of Second Avenue, at the West End’s Vaudeville Theatre, has extended its engagement by two weeks, and will now close on September 25. 2010 Tony Award winner Terry Johnson has directed the production, which is currently in previews, with a press opening on July 13.

As previously reported, the comedy stars Jeff Goldblum and Mercedes Ruehl as a New York couple in the 1970s who are enduring the trials and tribulations of city life. The cast also features Amanda Boxer, Fiona Gillies, Linal Haft, and Pattie Love.

The creative team includes Rob Howell (design), Neil Austin (lighting), Jon Driscoll (video), Gareth Fry (sound), and Colin Towns (music).
