Rosaleen Linehan, Susan Lynch, et al. Cast in Young Vic’s Beauty Queen of Leenane

Complete casting has been announced for Martin McDonagh’s The Beauty Queen of Leenane, to run July 15 – August 21 at the Young Vic Theatre, according to a report on Whatsonstage.com. As previously announced, Joe Hill-Gibbins will direct the production.

The play centers on a lonely spinster, who longs for a romance that will get her away from her manipulative mother. The company will feature Rosaleen Linehan and Susan Lynch as mother and daughter, along with David Ganly, and Terrence Keeley.

Linehan’s credits include The New Electric Ballroom, Blood Wedding, and Dancing at Lughnasa, among others. Lynch’s stage work includes The Last Days of Judas Iscariot, O Go My Man, The Night Season and Dancing at Lughnasa.

The creative team will include Ultz (production design), Charles Balfour (lighting design), and Paul Arditti (sound design).
