Tony Award winner Robert Lindsay will reprise his performance as Aristotle Onassis in Martin Sherman’s bio-play Onassis, to run September 10-25 at the Derby Theatre, according to a report on Whatsonstage.com.

Nancy Meckler, who directed Lindsay in a previous version of the script, entitled Aristo, will stage the production. Additional casting will be announced at later date.

Sherman’s play focuses on the last years in the life of Onassis, including his complex connections and interwoven relationships with Jackie Kennedy, singer Maria Callas and his son Alexandros.

Lindsay’s credits include his Olivier and Tony Award-winning performance in Me and My Girl, as well as Oliver!, Richard III, Becket, Hamlet, Power, and most recently The Entertainer at the Old vic.
